We'll be leaving for Istanbul, Turkey on Wednesday, May 11, 2016.  This will begin the first part of our Bible Lands trip as we join a tour group from the States.  We usually like to travel on our own but sometimes we enjoy the convenience and comfort of traveling with others who are responsible for our care.  This time it is America Israel Tours, the same group we traveled with in 2014 when we went to Egypt, Jordan and Israel.  We will begin in Turkey and are anxious to visit one of the great cities of the ancient Roman era, Ephesis .  We will also be visiting Pergamum (one of the seven cities of Revelation 1-3). There will be a three day Greek Island tour with visits to Patmos, Rhodes, Crete, and Santorini.  We then sail on to Greece to visit Corinth and Athens.

Our Guided Tour experience ends on Sunday, May 22, when we catch a flight to Tel Aviv where we will meet up with our son, Eric, who will join us for the next 18 days in Israel. Since we will be on our own we will rent a car in Tel Aviv and drive to the Tiberius area and visit places around and near the Sea of Galilee, then go to Masada and the Dead Sea and finally end up in Jerusalem where we will spend several days.

We hope to share with you some experiences in the Bible Lands that you might enjoy seeing and hearing about.  We hope you'll visit our blog regularly.

This sounds like a wonderful trip. I'm sure you have been studying the Scriptures in preparation, and with Bible in hand as you journey, in order to get the most out of what you are experiencing. I will keep my Bible in hand also as I read your blogs. Thanks in advance for sharing your interesting experiences.

It sounds like a delightful journey! We look forward to viewing your pictures. I hope you don't lose your camera again to the thieves of Baghdad. :)

God Bless you all and keep you safe. We are praying for you.
